About MycoNet
ICMR MycoNet initiative was launched in 2019 to address the need for advanced mycology diagnostic facilities
in different geographic region of country to improve patient care, fungal research and public health policies
Vision
- Develop our own indigenous guidelines for the management of different mycoses e.g. candidiasis, aspergillosis, mucormycosis, etc
- AMDRCs will provide support during any future fungal outbreak in the country
- Each mycology center will act as a reference center for their zone and train other technical and scientific staff in the diagnosis and management of fungal diseases (capacity building)
- Data generated through the MycoNet network evidence based policy decision to control and management of fungal infections to reduce overall mortality and morbidity
